Gear VR edition of Innovator will use 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screens’ Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which in comparison to the Galaxy Note 4 will provide improved picture quality because of the greater density per inch. However, the angle of view will be smaller due to the smaller screen size.
The new model also features less housing, more comfortable strap system and built-in fan that protects smartphones from overheating. Price Gear VR version for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge is the same as in the previous model – $ 199. Currently, the goggles can be purchased only at Best Buy retail chain, but probably soon they also will go to Europe.
