Great price did not stop sixes. So sells Samsung … – Spider’s Web

A few months ago the situation Samsung looked like it do not look, at best, moderately well. Korean company and nibble from the bottom by other Asian manufacturers, with the top while Apple had to figure out a way to get out of this trap. And all indications are that invented, at least when it comes to the highest segment.

Almost from the very beginning it was clear that the Galaxy S6 not so much needs, which simply will be something completely different than previous models in the series. Changed not only finishing materials, but also the whole philosophy behind the project unit, as a result of giving us two great, fresh and above all very well received by the media, smartphones – Galaxy Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Even before the shop floor the debut of speculation about how good your results will be recorded by the duo. Apparently orders placed by distributors and operators (even before the actual start of the sale and a truly global premiere) were huge and people who were in the hands of any of these models tend to that fact does not marveled.



Today we know that in these rumors was really a lot of truth.

As reported Sammobile (for Yonhapnews), Samsung officially confirmed that the sale of devices classified as Galaxy S6 (and thus the model of the “flat” and edge) exceeded within the first month of release 10 million. It is not known exactly what time since then we talk (do not know if this happened today or earlier), nor the extent to which authorities sympathy split up between S6, and about a lot more interesting, but also more expensive edge.

It should also be remembered that Samsung clearly does not inform how many devices were sent to consumers, but only provides data on sales “from the company.”

It is certain, however, is that no confirmed fears of some observers – that Samsung was no longer able to move crowds and after a few exciting launch of the S5 starts down the straight path. Meanwhile S6-fives maintained sales momentum of previous generations. S5 needed to achieve such an outcome 25 days, while S4 – 27. “Three” had to wait for a similar result almost two months, “two” – five months, and the first generation – more than 10

Of course, all of these records it is difficult to really compare to what is happening on the occasion of Prime Minister of the new smartphone from Apple. At the end of last year, when sales hit a two models – the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it took only … the weekend to find 10 million willing to release hundreds of dollars. Besides, during the first day there were over 4 million.

And this refers to the outfits that had passed to end users, not to the warehouses of shops and other distributors.

This does not change the fact that the most important may be not how smartphone sold in the beginning and how it will be sold also later – before there is another, more or less groundbreaking successor. Besides, let’s not forget that although everyone excited about high-end models, Samusung has a lot of work in the lower segments, where it gradually, but effectively replaces the “plastic” much more attractive models.

So far, this strategy checks and allowed to return to the throne to Samsung smartphones. The only question is for how long?
