A serious setback Samsung. Presented as kurzoodporny and waterproof Samsung Galaxy S7 Active failed the test of immersion in water. It is not worth believing everything you tell equipment manufacturers.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is presented by the manufacturer as “active” version of the S7. Designed for more demanding people who depend on a solid device that will not be easily destroyed or damaged. Therefore S7 Active besides Certificate IP68 (waterproof and kurzoodporność) was also reinforced housing.
Unfortunately for Samsung someone decided to check it out.
The smartphone, which should last up to 30 minutes in water after immersion to a depth of 1.5 doused all the tests. You can indeed see it in the following video clip service Consumer Reports:
Phone not zanużono although at a depth of 1.5 meters, but through a suitable device increased the pressure. After required time Samsung Galaxy S7 Active indeed work, but the screen of the device stopped responding. To be sure, the test was repeated on another device – the results were the same as in the case of the first smartphone.
Interestingly, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge underwent similar tests without a problem.
