Galaxy S7 Active is not waterproof? Samsung rises honor – CHIP

As we wrote last week, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active has not passed the test involving the immersion under water for 30 minutes at a pressure corresponding to a depth of 150 cm. The test was organized by the editors of Consumer Reports, and – importantly – failure has not one, but two copies of test ‘Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. Water got into the lenses and screens devices. Interestingly enough, a similar test without any problem “passed” before Galaxy Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.

The user manual for the Galaxy S7 Active also finding any statements in which on the one hand, the manufacturer declares resistance level IP68 certification, but on the other stresses that despite everything does not guarantee a waterproof smartphone in every situation. What could be interpreted as repealed leave a backdoor in case of any complaint – no because we wrote that we can not guarantee it?

Well, no. Samsung already from the beginning, immediately after the appearance of the test results of Consumer Reports stressed that the fault had to lie on the side of the defective copies of the Galaxy S7 Active, and now unequivocally declared that it will honor the warranty all damages caused by water

Admittedly it is both honorable and courageous way out of the situation.
