9 GB of available memory, even though the phone has 16 GB – this problem to Samsung spends sleepless nights in recent days.

First, the Korean manufacturer has responded in a rather unfortunate way, advising everyone to … bought a microSD memory card, which can be extended built-in memory up to several dozen Gigabytes. It is of course true, but I think Samsung missed the crux of the matter – if you buy the phone and on the package bears “16 GB built-in memory”, we want to be available for at least several GB. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S 4 offers less than 9 GB.
Today Samsung, for your happiness, change your approach to this issue and promises to not only improve “its communication” (the latter for the former, an unfortunate statement), but also look more closely at the problem of insufficient memory and try to solve it by optimization software. For now, however, are more specifics we do not know.
