It is at the outset that neither the Xiaomi Mi 5, or G5 LG or Samsung Galaxy S7 not yet officially for sale, so the full test all three phones we will have to wait. However, the network already penetrated further results of various benchmarks and on this basis, you can already pre compare the performance of all three “flagship”.
The benchmark AnTuTu Chinese smartphone has achieved an amazing result of over 140,000 points (more precisely: 142 084) . It is worth noting that the Xiaomi Mi 5 is equipped with a Qualcomm processor 820, and thus the same that we find in the Galaxy S7 (some models) or LG G5. Only the most powerful Pro version has 4 GB of RAM, the other – 3 GB.
So how do we fall in this comparison its Korean competitors? LG G5 (Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM) exceeded 130,000 points in AnTuTu (more precisely: 133 054), while in the case of Samsung Galaxy S7, we have a problem. For the version with Snapdragon 820 (more on the US market) are only the results of other benchmarks, while measured in AnTuTu version of the Exynos 8890 (widely available around the world) is not squeezed even 120,000 points (more precisely: 116 668). There can be no direct comparison of the effectiveness of CPU Qualcomm, but the fact remains – Xiaomi Mi 5 wins both of LG, as well as with the most popular (probably) version of the Samsung Galaxy S7.
And one more important thing – the question of a possible overheating of the CPU. These benchmarks do not show us, but it is possible that LG and Samsung are better solved the problem of heat dissipation, having a huge impact on the stability of work and actual performance. Something may be things for the least expensive of the three versions of Mi 5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 with a reduced clock speed (1.8 GHz, 2.15 GHz instead of the more expensive versions of the Mi 5 and LG G5 and Galaxy S7). On the other hand, the new system Qualcomm should no longer make up such problems with overheating as the version 810, so we can reasonably hope that all three “flagships” will deal with no hassle to deal with.
Of course performance and a powerful processor is not everything, count the other elements of your phone, such as convenience even use overlay for Android (here, each manufacturer has its own, and each has its supporters). As for the operating system itself, there are no differences – in all three cases we get Android 6.0.
The choice of users may also be affected interesting technologies, such as. The modular construction of the LG G5, with a convenient way to replace the battery and the capability of adding expansion modules functionality of the phone. For many users, it is very important also the main camera on the rear, but … in this case it is worth refrain from judging which of the three can offer the most – the best quality, highest functionality, the fastest autofocus. In this respect, the Chinese smartphones tiger is insurmountable: the basic version (3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of memory for data) will cost approx. 1200 zł, while the version with 64 GB of memory for data – approx. 1400 zł. Even the most efficient variant of Mi 5 Pro has a cost per about 1650 zł, equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory.
Samsung Galaxy S7 costs in the pre-3199 zł, while the Galaxy S7 Edge – 3599 zł . Price LG G5 has not yet officially determined, but here also speaks of the order amounts 2500-3000 zł. Thus, the average cost of buying Xiaomi falls almost twice cheaper, but of course remember that in this comparison only the price of Samsung Galaxy S7 are already confirmed. But after all, this is not a difference, this gap.
So how will sell Xiaomi Mi 5 compared to the Korean competitors? Certainly good, but keep in mind the huge machinery of marketing, which launched both Samsung and LG, and a much wider availability of models of both companies worldwide. This year still should therefore belong to the Koreans, but … in this context it is worth mentioning one more interesting information. How praised the Xiaomi, already 14 million people declared their willingness to purchase the model Mi 5. This does not mean that all these people actually buy it, but even if the words will keep half of them …
