About the detected vulnerability NowSecure informed when held in London Black Hat conference.
A weak point concerns the popular SwiftKey keyboard that is factory installed on most models offered by Samsung’s smartphones, including the latest Galaxy S6. Through software vulnerabilities, which can not be deactivate or uninstall hackers can gain access to a particular phone.
Discussing Ryan Welton, a security analyst with NowSecure warned that through a gap unauthorized people can gain remote access system data GPS, camera and microphone of built-in smartphone. They are also able to install on your system without your knowledge malware stealing information, and track text messages and conversations.
Welton drew attention to the fact that hackers can gain control of the smartphone even when not SwiftKey It is currently enabled or set as the default keyboard. The analyst also pointed out that Samsung was informed of the vulnerability in November last year and probably he developed an appropriate amendment, which was then handed over to operators in different countries.
