Peter Alexander Fiuk and Brad from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture ZUT on Thursday defended a thesis on “The modernization and expansion of the Galaxy as determined by the strategy of Szczecin Floating Garden in 2050.”

– They put the problem whose solution can not please everyone – said their supervisor prof. Assoc. Adam Maria Szymski.

What does it mean? They assumed that abut the existing structural elements to interfere as little as possible in the present building. Roof Galaxy would become open space recreation and meeting place of Szczecin, markets. In the four corners of the galaxy would see buildings of different heights, the lowest would be the same height as Oxygen, the highest at building Pazimu. They fall outside the office.

– Our project was to stress that it is the center of Szczecin, a place where they can develop what has long been with us missing: the market town – says Alexander Fiuk.

– It seems to us that the Galaxy spread over a larger area is not necessary. For us, the direction was clear – up – explains Piotr Brad.
