According to reports OLED Assiciation , the Samsung Galaxy Note III will be the first device from the Korean manufacturer resistant to breakage Plastic OLED screen. screen will be used for the production of polyamide layer, which was deposited emitting organic layer protected by a thin film. Instead of 1.5 mm thickness in the OLED screens, the manufacturer has been UBP OLED display having a thickness of 0.5 mm (including the polarizing layer). Omission in the construction of two layers of glass make is that the new screen will be resistant to breakage.
The new design of the display is also an opportunity to significantly reduce the weight of the unit.
