Already this week, precisely on Thursday, Samsung will showcase two new smartphones. We’ll see if the masthead Galaxy Note 5, as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge +. However, Koreans do not plan to rest after August 13, as already intensively working on a new model – Galaxy S7, which is expected to debut in a version with Snapdragon 820.
In recent high-end devices – the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, Samsung has resigned from Qualcomm processors. It turned out that it was a great decision. The newest system, which is 810 Snapdragon has problems with waste heat. After a few minutes of intense work, the processor gets so hot that its performance has to be drastically reduced. In the tested by us HTC One M9, Snapdragon 810 in AnTuTu recorded net 43,000 points. For comparison, Samsung’s proprietary system – Exynos 7420 (Galaxy S6) in the same test scored 62,000 points. The difference is really noticeable.
Galaxy S6
It turns out that the South Korean company has not said goodbye forever with Qualcomm. According to the latest leaked Galaxy model S7, over which just underway, it will be equipped with Snapdragon processor 820. It is to be free from defects predecessor. Very high performance cores are designed to provide copyright Qualcomm called Kyro. Probably the chip will be manufactured in 14 nm.
