2015 years is not only at the Samsung launch new flagowców, but also new models from the lower shelves, including three models in the Galaxy J J1, J5 and J7. They differ in the applied components (in J7 are by far the best, but the phone did not hit into Polish) and screen size (4.3-inch J1, J5 5 inches and 5.5 inches in J7) and the capacity of the battery (which increases in the same order). I went to the middle model, the Samsung Galaxy J5. Like its bigger brother, the smartphone has a front 5-megapixel camera and LED Illuminates. Taking into account the relatively low price and growing popularity of selfies, J5 makes this a very interesting proposition for young people. A small carton of orange lies in its interior fairly standard set. In addition to the smartphone you’ll find here the USB cable with a length of nearly 80 cm, the charger Samsung ETA0U83EWE, giving the output current of 1 A, a headset and a short manual and warranty card. Though the Samsung J5, how to hit me, is black, all accessories are white, what – at least for me – is a drawback (particularly when it comes to headphones).
The external appearance, workmanship and ergonomics
Equipped with a 5-inch Samsung Galaxy J5 has dimensions of 142.1 x 71.8 x 7.9 mm and weighs 146 grams. Smartphone comfortable in the hand, but housing is quite slippery, and one-hand operation – due to the size of the screen – can be difficult, especially for people with not very long fingers.
The entire front smartphone is covered with glass. But this is not Gorilla Glass, or anything like that, so the front panel is susceptible to scratching. Although the test copy celebrated gently on the glass there were a few small scratches, particularly clearly visible against the light. At the bottom, below the display, there are – in addition to the traditional mechanical button for Samsung Home – two touch keys: Last (left) and back (right). The buttons are not illuminated. On the opposite side there is a place for silver ear speaker and the manufacturer’s logo. To the left of them placed Samsung LED Illuminates while the right proximity sensor and front camera lens. What we find here is a light sensor, the Samsung stint and LED notifications.
The sides of the device is a single, rounded frame covered with silver, very glossy varnish. It does not look the best – this frame, in my opinion, it is simply ugly. At the bottom, slightly flattened side (the same flattening is on the opposite side) is centrally located microUSB socket, left him with the microphone, and the right of the headphone jack (3.5mm). You can discuss where in the latter should be found, but I think a better place would be the upper edge. On the left side, in the upper part, we find joined together the volume keys (which can also be used as the shutter of the camera), while on the opposite side – the power button. All of the buttons are the same color and are just as shiny as frame, moreover, are loosely attached and “fly” on the sides.
