S5 Galaxy, HTC One M8 or the Sony Xperia Z2: might be better to wait … – PC World

At the beginning of this year, leading manufacturers of smartphones with Android, Samsung, Sony and HTC, presented their latest flagship designs, models Galaxy S5 , Z2 Xperia and One M8 . Most emotions aroused, of course, the first of them, which, in accordance with emerging earlier speculation had to offer:

– aluminum housing
– QHD screen
– 3 GB RAM

After the presentation Galaxy S5 we already knew that we do not have to count on these elements, but instead to give a useful solution in the form of Chicken-and waterproof housing. Many people whose expectations based on emerging speculation were much larger, failed what does not change the fact that Galaxy S5 in terms of sales broke the record predecessor, the Galaxy S4 selling a total of 10,000,000 shorter pieces in two days time. It is worth noting, however, that compared to him, he had a much stronger input (125 markets versus just 60 markets).

What is important , flagship smartphones are characterized by close competition specification, which you can see by reviewing the following comparative table:

In this confrontation, according to many of you wins Galaxy S5 , which was offered in pre-bundled with “intelligent” watch Galaxy Gear and whose manufacturer tempts consumers additives such as application suite Galaxy Gifts whether the last promotion on SSO free exchange of the defective display. Some people, however, draws attention to its tacky plastic cover comparing it to the used in the smartphone HTC One (M8) unibody enclosure that instead of the earlier 70% has been developed in 90% of aluminum. On the other hand, in the case of Z2 Xperia Your mind does not get away with that, as it offers only 3 GB of RAM, which is reflected in the performance.

LG G3 many changes

Waiting for the new flagship of many consumers mattered most of all to the screen featuring a staggeringly high density of pixels and, in the case of the Galaxy S5 to replace the plastic housing of metal which is more fitting for the device aspiring to leadership “androidowego” market. When it seemed that they will have on the panel for a long time to wait for the stock entered the Korean company LG, which does not “have developed” a model G3 officially giving us only a model G Pro 2 Appearing speculation suggested that the first of the devices leading manufacturers LG G3 offer qHD display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. In addition, he had to be equipped with a housing made of brushed aluminum, or plastic characterized by such an invoice.

Currently, we have confidence that these elements actually be hosted in LG G3 . The first Korean manufacturer has confirmed the introduction of the Japanese model Isai FL:

the second officially announcing the launch of a new flagship on 27 May and making a promotional video below:

literally dozens of hours ago we received, however, the most important evidence of previous speculation: the internal presentation LG G3 (specifically the Korean version F400S/K/L) came a dodger, who made several key photo slideshow. Below, the most important of them showing the device specification:

It turns out that LG G3 “mobilized” competition, which can not afford to so noticeable lag. For several weeks in the networks appear so speculation about the Premium version of flagship smartphones Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8. Although we do not have on this issue any official statements, it seems very likely that these devices actually appear in the coming months (Galaxy S5 in June).

What offer?

With unconfirmed reports that Galaxy S5 Prime offer is what we expected after the “regular” Galaxy S5. It should therefore make available to the user’s aluminum enclosure, 5.2-inch qHD screen, Snapdragon system 805, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Similarly, the case has the look HTC One M8 Prime , which have, however, has a greater, 5.5-inch screen.

Prices

Of course, the key issue remains here as these devices. Model LG G3 has been valued by some European shops at a minimum of 618 euros. Regarding the Prime models to have a faster SoC, you can imagine even higher prices. On the other hand, the Korean site Naver recently argued that in the case Galaxy S5 Prime Suggested price is to be fixed at more or less the same level as it did in the case of the model Galaxy S5 .

What to do?

If you intend to buy one of the flagship smartphones now have a serious dilemma. It seems to me that most, if await those few, several days official presentation LG G3 , and above all to the information about its price. Those who are committed to product Samsung and any other perhaps should consider postponing the decision to purchase such month hoping to explain a thing of the premiere Galaxy S5 Prime . But what if the price will be prohibitive? Then you can certainly count on the fact that the Korean manufacturer will prepare an attractive offer from the “regular” Galaxy S5.

As for the HTC One M8 Prime, at its premiere can come to us to wait a good few months (speculation appears to September) so take it into account it seems reasonable only for fans of HTC hardware.

Or maybe …

Well, and may, however, consider other solution? I refer to something much cheaper, or smartphone OnePlus One offers available to the user:

– 5.5-inch full-HD display (401 ppi)
– Qualcomm system Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC)
SoC 2.5 GHz – 3 GB RAM

– Camera 13 MP Sony Exmor (six lens, f/2.0) with 4K video recording (sample here)
– 5 MP camera with front
