Samsung has developed LPDDR4 (Low Power Double Data Rate 4) – the world’s first 8-gigabit DRAM bone designed for mobile devices.
8-gigabit bone LPDDR4 is made in the process of 20-30 nanometers and has 1 gigabyte (GB) of data, which is the highest density of currently available DRAM chips. A single 4-gigabyte module contains four bones LPDDR4 8 GB. For users of mobile devices is intended to mean a faster, more responsive applications, more advanced features and screens with higher resolution while maintaining maximum battery performance. In addition, 8-gigabit bone LPDDR4 uses an input-output type LVSTL (Low Voltage Swing Terminated Logic). With the new interface, bone LPDDR4 will transfer data at a speed of 3,200 megabits per second (Mbps) on the pin, which is twice faster than currently offered by the mass-produced in the 20-30 nm LPDDR3 memory.
