[IFA 2013] First impressions of LG G2 - better than the Galaxy SIV? - Antyweb

LG

us the light zadyszce and some potkni?ciach managed to enter the smartphone market. There were some problems, and the Korean company for a time was associated with the peloton rather than escape (are those in the front) in the race for the hearts of consumers. The last few products, compliments of support for older models made the LG phones have become a viable option for many users also. How does the latest child of the corporation?

LG G2 is a premium device, in the full sense of the word. Powered best and fastest system on the market today – Quad 800 Snapdragon clocked at 2.26 GHz. In addition, equipment is equipped with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of memory and IPS display, full HD (1920 × 1080), with a diagonal of 5.2 inches. High-end equipment, there is no doubt about it. For this great image stabilization during shooting. I feel that the need for strapping muscles and duration of the standstill while chirping photos the camera slowly is becoming a thing of the past. LG underlines this fact very clearly and makes their technology one of the pillars of marketing G2.

Like my Nexus 4 (information for the uninformed – also manufactured by LG), G2 does not have the function buttons on the front – they appear on the display. I’m not a fan of this approach because it reduces the actual surface of the screen, but you have to admit that due to the size of the device, you probably will not be too onerous. Size 5.2 inches makes the G2 is one of the largest, not yet qualified as phablety, mobile devices. For comparison – the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a screen size of 5 inches (for it has function keys), and HTC One is in turn 4.7 inches. Instead, we must note that G2 is quite thick and makes a little “ceg?ówkowate” impression.

very characteristic feature of G2 are physical buttons on the back of the housing. Talking about the key “power” (unlocking the phone), and “louder” and “softer”. I do not like this solution. First of all – even when shooting cutscene presenting the phone sometimes the blocked screen, trying to make louder, or I could not hit the button and was turning the phone to locate the right finger. The second issue is a matter of design. As usual I do not like this solution. Regarding the experiments, it is more in line with my approach Sony – the key exactly on the side makes sense from the point of view of operation of the device, making it a nice, typical smartness.

I wish the buttons on the back, because other than that, the LG G2 makes a very good impression. The screen is great, overlay on Android as well. Mildly speaking, the Korean company managed to achieve “premium effect,” which presumably they cared. Admittedly, the trails blazed the little Samsung. LG G2 is very similar to the Galaxy series devices – even the plastic that was used to produce housing makes the same impression when in contact with skin.

LG has managed to close the gap which divided them from the top manufacturers. The only question is whether they can keep up the pace – at this time reached a level that is no longer the standard of a good year. Competition is likely to have gotten a step forward, so the question arises – how quickly LG will be able to respond, being shortly after the release of its previous device? So far, so good, and the G2 has a chance to fight – especially since it has an extremely powerful processor and excellent image stabilization.
